The BLCMS String Quartet (Jeffrey Phillips & Alicia Maiz Alonso, violins; Kylie Little, viola; James Ellis, cello) will perform Harmony X from John Cage’s 44 Harmonies from Apartment House 1776 in addition to the inspiration for Cage’s piece “Is there not an appointed time?” by James Lyon. 9|2

Western Illinois University faculty members Paul Chinen (oboe) and Yeon-Kyung Kim (piano) open Season 9 of the Burlington Lunchtime Chamber Music Series. They will perform Three Piece Suite by Madeleine Dring and Chrysalis by Alyssa Morris. 9|1

SEISO Chamber Players perform Johann Hummel’s Septet No. 2 in C Major “Military”, op. 114.

An exciting collaboration between composer Daniel Pappas and the BLCMS Ensemble culminating in a world premiere performance of Pappas’ newly commissioned piece Present Tense for the BLCMS Ensemble.

Flutist Rose Bishop and pianist Abbie Brewer bring their exciting duo to the BLCMS after finishing tours of the Pacific Northwest and the United Kingdom. They will perform works by Leslie Uyeda, Kristen Stoner, Candace Sutter, and Alonso Malik Pirio.

Pianist Yeon-Kyung Kim of Western Illinois University makes her first solo appearance on the series performing works by Bernstein, Chopin, and Vitezslava Kapralova. Don’t miss this tremendous musician!
